The constant CalTrans improvements to the bay bridge approach means the SOMA is perpetually under construction. At one point on Brannan street, an offramp makes a huge, sweeping turn through the building. I happened to have my camera at lunch and snapped this shot.
The Plaza El Toros in Ronda, Spain. It’s one of the oldest in Spain and was constructed over a period of six years and inaugurated in 1785 with a corrida featuring Pedro Romero and Pepe-Illo.
Athens never sleeps, and this market was open at 12:30 am on a Sunday night. The street was a fairly major road, but that didn’t stop the two old men from pulling out their chairs and enjoying the night air. You might also notice them checking out the young woman in blue.

Deep in the lower haight, we used to have to wash our clothes at this little throwback laundrymat on the corner of Haight and Pierce. The best part was the fiberglass seats from the 70’s, often filled with the homeless taking a nap.
